And Design was formed in Bath UK by Jenni and David Radford in order to bring together our wide experience in engineering and architecture. Our aim was to create a small practice where clients can depend on a personal approach. 

David was formerly a main board director of Building Design Partnership, the largest architectural and interdisciplinary practice in the UK. He has designed and lead major projects of international importance such as Bristol Royal Hospital for Children and PFI projects including the Great Western Hospital, Swindon and the Queen Alexandra Hospital, Portsmouth.

Jenni has worked for major international practices such as Buro Happold and Arup. She has also worked with some of the world’s leading architects including Jean Nouvel, Shigeru Ban, Feilden Clegg Bradley, Richard Rogers and HOK. Her experience encompasses everything from small scale domestic and conservation projects to hospitals, stadia, educational buildings and art galleries.

Our recent work has concentrated on residential properties in England and France. We have particular expertise in disability issues. We have designed Zero, Southstoke Road as our own family home around the needs of two disabled children. It was published in The Sunday Times as an exemplar of disabled living, showing how good design and fully accessible provision can be compatible.  We are able to assist in obtaining grants, advise on equipment and facilities related to disability and access.
